The term 'classical garden' is used here to refer to gardens whose design conforms to a certain set of rules, unlike a contemporary garden.

Inspired by the wild scrubland and gardens of the
Mediterranean coast, this garden combines shrubs and
sweet-smelling perennials, most of which are native to the
Mediterranean Basin.


This garden was designed according to the principles of
Japanese landscaping, then adapted to fit the requirements
of a garden that is to be enjoyed as well as admired.


A traditional Indonesian garden is transposed to fit its
European surroundings. The garden's natural beauty is
designed to please the spirits that dwell within it.


This so-called 'dry' garden is ideal for a south-facing,
seafront plot. The plants used in its creation come from
South Africa, New Zealand and California itself. Its design
combines a mixture of materials: wood, stainless steel and stone


Inspired by a mixture of 'Zen'-, seaside garden-
and 'Granny's garden'-styles.


Wooded garden. An offering to the spirits who live in this
place of meditation.


The naturalist style of this garden is designed to mimic
the contemplative atmosphere of a forest around the edge
of a lake.


This little garden, built on two levels, combines elements of
both Mediterranean and Japanese styles. (This garden was
completed in September 2007)
